Polyether ether ketone (PEEK)

This group of industry-leading materials offers high strength, superb chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. Because of PEEKS linear aromatic semi-crystalline polymers, it retains a high degree of mechanical properties close to their melting temperature (649°F for PEEK, 705°F for PEK). Other characteristics would be its superior electrical insulating properties, high strength, and excellent wear resistance.
Due to their outstanding characteristics, engineers across many industries are increasingly replacing metal components with these superior performing thermoplastics. Applications include: Centrifugal pump components, Impeller and case wear rings, Throat and throttle bushings, Inter-stage sleeve bearings, Jet engine components, Electrical multi-pin connectors, Silicon wafer carriers, Compressor piston and rider rings, High-temperature valve seats, Surgical devices, Down-hole seals and backup rings, Compressor valve plates, and Food preparation equipment components.
