The DC Wiper is a dirt wiper with a metal housing and a protruding wiper lip, designed to protect cylinders from dirt ingress. It is a single-acting wiper suitable for use in standardized housings, including those conforming to ISO 6195 Type B, and is commonly used in standard cylinders.
The wiper material is nitrile rubber (NBR), and the metal housing is made of unalloyed steel. It operates under various conditions, compatible with hydraulic oils HL and HLP, HFA, HFB, HFC, and HFD fluids, water, HETG (rapeseed oil), HEES (synthetic ester), HEPG (glycol), and mineral greases.
Design notes should be referenced in the Technical Manual, particularly regarding surface quality. The peak-to-valley heights for the sliding surface and groove base should adhere to specific roughness parameters: the sliding surface should have Ra ≤1.6 µm and Rmax ≤6.3 µm, while the groove flanks should be Ra ≤3.0 µm and Rmax ≤15.0 µm. The nominal diameter range is 6 to 400 mm, with the tolerance defined by the buffer seal.
